Illustrated Talks

The Society offers illustrated PowerPoint talks about the canal, combining historic and present-day photographs and maps. It closes by looking at the progress of restoration.

The canal runs from the River Irwell in Salford through Agecroft, Clifton, Ringley and Prestolee to the junction at Nob End (Little Lever). From there the two branches lead to Darcy Lever and Bolton, and to Ladyshore, Radcliffe and Bury.

The talk is normally 50 minutes, but can be shortened or lengthened.

We ask for a minimum donation of £35 plus travel expenses (petrol)
